Collins August Birds

At August Bird Club we talked about the changing seasons and how the birds are already preparing for migration. We enjoyed a congregation of great egrets just across from the Nature Center. The swallows are gathering in flocks, night hawks will be seen in the next week or so. Keep a look out for fall warblers and many shorebirds on mudflats. Hummingbirds are very active on the feeders right now. Reminder to clean and change your feeder contents often to keep it free of mold and insects.
